Last month, we took a trip to Nicaragua with Carla’s brother, Ron, and nephew, Tanner.  Ron started an NGO – the NEO Fund – based out of Managua in 2008 and we were anxious to check it out.  We spent a couple of days experiencing the life-changing work that is happening there through micro-credit loans, schools and feeding programs.  It was remarkable and humbling.  When you have a free minute you should take a look: the NEO Fund.

Here's the story...

We were all planning to fly over to Corn Island, off the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua, for a few days of tropical relaxation.  What Ron and Tanner didn’t know was that we were also planning to get married!  We sprung the news on them in Managua, and they were both excited to be part of our plan.

Tanner walked Carla down the “aisle.”  And, Ron, an ordained minister, performed a beautiful and personal service on the beach.  It was a day none of us will forget!

We are still in the process of looking for a house.  Though we haven’t yet found our perfect home, one thing we are sure of is that there will be plenty of room for guests.  We hope that we will be able to celebrate with each of you in our new home one day soon!

We are both well down our career paths and have each already set up our own home.  So, we are blessed to not need any of the traditional wedding gifts.  Though we have no expectation, if you would like to celebrate our marriage with a gift, we are asking that you make a donation to the NEO Fund in our honor.  If you decide to make a donation, please note in the “Comments” box that your gift is in celebration of our marriage.  We will be notified of your gift so that we may thank you.

You can donate here.

We are so fortunate and blessed to have each other and each of you in our lives!
